The mission of the Local Heritage Archive is to record and preserve local cultural heritage and make it available to local citizens. The Local Heritage Archive includes local private material, such as the archives of clubs, associations, individuals and cooperatives. The archives may consist of documents, photographs, sound recordings and the like.

The collections of the Local History Archives can be viewed by appointment during office hours Mon-Fri 9- 15. Most of the collections are located in Hirvikoski (Kanta-Loimaantie 7), and some in the Town Hall (Kauppalankatu 3). The material is not on loan outside the local history archive.
