Loimaa Early Childhood Education and Care uses the electronic Daisy service (eDaisy and DaisyFamily), which facilitates communication between early childhood education staff and carers.

Enrolment for pre-school education is done electronically via the new eDaisy service. Daily contact and childcare bookings are made via the DaisyFamily app.

Enrolment in pre-primary education

Pre-school education is available from 8.30 to 13.00 for 4 hours per day. The early childhood and pre-school education units for the period 2024-2025 will be confirmed in the spring.

Pre-school education is registered electronically. To use the service, you need strong authentication with either your bank account or a mobile certificate. The service allows you to apply not only for a pre-school place for your child, but also for a part-time place at the same time.

You can also report changes electronically, such as

• a request for a transfer of an early childhood education and care place
• changes to hourly limit selection
• changes of address
• notice of termination of an early childhood education place (notice of termination)
• performance report

Tips for using the e-service:
You can save your application as a draft before sending it. It is still possible to make changes after sending the application, if the application has not been processed yet (the status is shown in the service). It is also possible to withdraw an application. The online service is also available in English and Swedish.

Application for pre-school transport

A pre-school pupil is entitled to free transport if the distance to school is more than 3 km. Transport is provided to the pre-school place designated as the preferred school.

Transport is applied for using a separate electronic form when registering for pre-school education. To fill in the form, you must be strongly authenticated, either with a bank account or a mobile certificate. The form opens at the same time as the pre-school enrolment.
