Basic education offers pupils the opportunity to build a broad foundation of general knowledge and to complete their compulsory education. It provides preparation and eligibility for upper secondary education.

Loimaa has six primary schools, one secondary school and one comprehensive school. In addition to general education, a wide range of special education services are available. The town also organises special education at regional level.
