Environmental health aims to maintain and promote the health of the population. The aim is to also to prevent, reduce and eliminate factors which may cause danger or harm to human health, and the living environment. Enforcement of the law ensures that activities affecting the living environment are planned and carried out are carried out safely.

The city of Loimaa is part of environmental health care cooperation area, which includes Loimaa, Aura, Kaarina, Kemiönsaari, Koski Tl, Lieto, Marttila, Oripää, Paimio, Parainen, Pöytyä and Sauvo. Responsibility for the management of environmental health services is the responsibility of the municipality of Lieto.
