Information

The managers and experts of the different service areas of the City of Loimaa are responsible for the information related to their respective fields.

Publications

The City of Loimaa publishes a residents’ magazine once a year. The magazine is distributed to all households in Loimaa and provides information about the city’s services and current affairs, as well as interesting articles about the activities of the city of Loimaa. In addition, the city produces various publications and brochures every year.

Marketing website

The kotiloimaalta.fi website, created for the purpose of marketing the place of residence, brings together the most important things to do with housing and living in Loimaa. The site contains information on housing options, plots, jobs, blog, leisure time and services.

Social media

The main social media channel of the City of Loimaa is Facebook, which is managed by the Marketing Unit under the Business and Economic Development Services Sector. It is published by the city’s communications team, which is made up of employees from various service areas.

Facebook posts are mainly related to the city’s own activities and services, as well as to cooperation with various entities. Depending on resources, other news related to Loimaa and the people of Loimaa may also be published. Some of the city’s service sectors also have their own social media channels, and they are responsible for their own publications. The Facebook pages of the city and the service sectors are public, so you can see the posts even if you are not on Facebook. The city also has a YouTube channel and an Instagram account.

Photos and videos

In communication, photographs are important both as a support for information and as image creators. In addition to professional photographers, the City of Loimaa cooperates with Loimaa Cameras, Loimaa Magazine and other local associations and companies.

The city’s staff includes skilled photography enthusiasts who have captured Loimaa’s landscapes and events in a wide range of images that are widely used in marketing. In addition, staff in various service areas take pictures as part of their work, for example for Facebook, websites and newsletters. The city’s summer job, youth exchange and employment activities have also provided work and traineeships for skilled photographers of various ages.

Loimaa products

Loimaa Jewelleries has been organised by the City of Loimaa in cooperation with jewellery artists. The jewellery is design jewellery that expresses Loimaa in different ways. The jewellery includes a more precious silver series and a more affordable oak jewellery series. The jewellery is a great souvenir of a visit to Loimaa, a gift on a special occasion or a reminder of your roots for a young person leaving Loimaa to study. The jewellery is on sale at the Sarka Museum, so come and shop and get piece of Loimaa!

To celebrate the 50th anniversary, the city, in collaboration with a local tattoo artist, made Loimaa transfer tattoos and stickers, which are distributed at events in the city and its partners.

Music

The City of Loimaa has commissioned a song from Loimaa-based hipster hop artist RASI for its job and residence marketing. The song Loimaa (Stays on the Surface), which combines EDM and hip hop music, was premiered in 2019 at the main event of the Loimaa 50v Meininki celebrations. RASI makes music that listens. The song and its individual “waves” are used in the context of residential marketing.

Outdoor advertising sites

The city has some advertising space available in the city centre for events promoted by non-commercial local communities. There are five billboards along the streets in the city centre and a banner space at the bottom of the Loimaa welcome sign along Highway 9. The City may also authorize the placement of a temporary advertisement or event notice in City-owned parks or similar areas. For information on these locations, please contact the Technical Services Department.
