Grants for private roads

The City of Loimaa contributes to the maintenance of private roads every year. The application must be submitted separately for each year. To receive the grant for the current year, residents of private roads must submit an application by the deadline.

Each year, the Committee for the Environment decides on the granting of grants for private roads within the limits of the appropriations allocated by the City Council. In addition, the Environment Committee decides on the maintenance classification of private roads.

The application period for maintenance grants starts in spring and ends at the end of April. Bridge and infrastructure improvement grants will be awarded in priority to projects that have received a positive decision from the ELY Centre on state aid for private road improvements. Private roads for which a road association has been set up but which are not eligible for state aid or are not eligible for a state improvement grant due to low renovation costs may also be eligible for a basic improvement grant.

There is no deadline for applying for basic renovation grants. However, basic renovation projects should be carried out in the year in which the grant is awarded.
