E-kirjasto

The municipal e-library offers e-books, audio books and digital magazines. Download the app for your phone or tablet from the app store. The first time you register for the app, you need to use strong authentication.

Quick guide to the E-library

  • Download the E-Library app for your mobile device from the app store.
  • Authenticate using strong authentication according to the instructions in the app.
  • Accept the processing of personal data and the terms of use of the service.
  • In the settings section, you can register an access key/keycode that you can use to log in to the application in the future.

Detailed instructions for the E-library

  • On your phone or tablet, go to the app store (Play Store or App Store).
  • Find and download the E-library app.
  • Open the app.
  • Select “Sign in with suomi.fi”
  • You can also browse the collection without registering as a customer (select “Continue without registering”). To borrow or reserve books, please register as a customer.
  • The app will go to the suomi.fi page. Log in to the page with your bank account details or mobile certificate.
  • You will automatically be taken back to the app.
  • On this page you will find information about the processing of personal data and the terms of use of the service. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap “accept”.

  • If you do not have a screen lock on your phone, the app will ask you to create one.
  • You will be taken to the home page of the app.
  • If you are logged out of the app:
  • Tap on “sign in with access key/password”
  • Enter your phone’s screen lock identifier (pin code, fingerprint, pattern or facial recognition).

Launch of the e-library

If you do not have access to strong authentication (bank details or mobile authentication), the library staff in your city or municipality can register the service for you. To do this, you will need proof of identity and a working email address that you can access. Registration at the library will be possible in early June.

Note! Ellibs Library, the shared e-book collection used by the Loisto libraries, will be discontinued in June 2024 and replaced by a shared municipal e-library.
