The importance of nature for human well-being is widely recognised. Being in nature and being active in it increases people’s well-being and health. Even a short time in the forest helps to relieve stress and forget everyday worries and improves mood, thus having a positive impact on people’s well-being.

Nature sports are suitable for all ages and you can go hiking, cycling, skiing or even canoeing. There are plenty of marked trails in Loimaa, but you can also walk in the forest on your own, picking berries and mushrooms, for example.

However, it is always important to remember everyone’s rights when you are out in nature.

Illuminated fitness trails throughout the city and in village centres serve citizens well. In winter, the tracks are equipped with traditional and cross-country skiing trails.

Frisbee golf can be practiced on six different tracks: the tracks at Keskuskoulu, Loimaa, Metsämaa, Melliläjärvi, Virttaan Monttu and Alastaro. There is also a frisbee golf course at Harjureitti.
