Immigration services

The City of Loimaa offers services supporting integration as well as guidance and counselling in matters related to Finnish society, the service system and everyday life:

  • dealing with authorities (Migri, Police, Kela, Varha)
  • everyday life: housing and living issues
  • services for children and young people: nurseries and schools
  • guidance on applications for employment and training
  • general guidance and counselling for immigrants

If you are an immigrant in Aura, Loimaa, Oripää or Pöytyä (in 2024 also Koski TL and Marttila), you can call and make an appointment with an immigration coordinator. In addition to the meeting, you can also get advice and guidance by phone (040 182 8501) or email (maarit.tiittanen@loimaa.fi). The service is free of charge.

The Immigration Coordinator also draws up integration plans for immigrants outside the labour market (e.g. housewives, pensioners, minors).

Emergency number 112

There is only one emergency number in Finland, 112.

Call 112 by phone when:

  • You spot an emergency or need help from the authorities quickly
  • You know or suspect that life, health, property or the environment is threatened or endangered

Do not call 112 if:

  • You want to ask a general question
  • You detect a disturbance, but no one is in danger. This could be a power cut, for example
  • The situation is not urgent
