Melliläjärvi lakeside sauna and fireplace cottage is located in its own private setting on the shores of a clear-water artificial lake in Mellilä. The place is ideal for small family celebrations or for recreational use on a typhy day at work, for example.

In the surrounding countryside, there is an approximately kilometre-long fitness track around the lake and a full 18-hole frisbee golf course.

You can rent either the sauna or the fireplace room separately or both together. Shifts are day shift 9-16 or evening shift 16.30-23.00.

The rental prices can be found in the attached annex and the allocated shifts will be announced by administrative decision.

How to apply for shifts

There is a centralised call for summer services from 1 May to 31 August, which closes on 31 March each year. Services during the summer period and other periods (1 January to 30 April and 1 September to 30 April) are subject to a continuous call and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

During the month of July, you can apply for the use of the lakeside sauna and fireplace as usual using the online application form, which can be found on this page. Applications are processed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We recommend that you apply at least one week before the desired date.

The booking status of the lakeside sauna and fireplace can be viewed in the booking tool. Select the week you wish to view from the facility type drop-down menu, then select Recreation areas to see the booking status. However, reservations cannot be made through the program, but are made using the attached application.
