Workers’ College
The Loimaa Workers’ Lyceum offers a wide range of courses, including manual skills, arts, sports and other welfare subjects, languages and IT. In addition to long courses, there is also a wide range of short courses and weekend courses. You can take part in courses and teaching whether you live in Lomaa or in the surrounding municipalities.
Teaching is provided for all ages and special groups are also catered for. Children and young people are offered a basic education in the visual and theatre arts in accordance with the general curriculum.
The curriculum of the Loimaa Labour School is distributed to Loimaa households every year in August. The curriculum can also be downloaded from the attached Links section and printed copies can be found in libraries and at the Town Hall.

New courses starting in the middle of the academic year will be announced on the city’s website and social media channels, as well as in the local newspaper, as appropriate.
Study groups meet during the academic year at the times indicated in the study programme. There are no classes during the autumn holiday week (week 42) and the winter holiday week (week 8). There are also no classes on public holidays and no classes after 17.00 on Pentecost.

Registration
All study groups must be pre-registered by the deadline indicated in the course information. You can register online in the Loimaa Student Services service or by phone on tel. 050 311 4691.
No separate information about the start of the course will be sent to the registrant. Instead, cancellations will be notified by SMS. It is therefore important that students remember to inform the college office of their contact details and any changes. For groups that are full, places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Courses that run during the academic year and term can be visited once, by prior arrangement with the college office.
Mikäli peruutat osallistumisesi tai keskeytät kurssin, siitä on ilmoitettava aina opiston toimistoon. Peruutukset on tehtävä viimeistään viisi arkipäivää ennen kurssin alkua. Muussa tapauksessa kurssimaksusta peritään 50 prosenttia tai vähintään 20 euroa. Peruutukset tulee tehdä aina opiston toimistoon.
Kurssimaksut laskutetaan yhdessä erässä. Osa kurssin hinnasta voidaan palauttaa vain siinä tapauksessa, että kurssi on keskeytynyt opistosta riippuvista syistä. Mikäli opetuksesta/ kurssista on toteutunut vähintään 2/3, maksua ei palauteta.
Opiskelijalta perittävä hinta ei sisällä työ- ja oppimateriaaleja (poikkeuksena osa lasten ja erityisryhmien kursseista). Useilla kursseilla voit halutessasi ostaa tarveaineita myös opettajalta.
Opistojen perimät maksut ovat suoraan ulosottokelpoisia. Opintoryhmiin ei voi osallistua, mikäli edellisten vuosien kursseja on maksamatta.
Opiskelija voi taloudellisin perustein anoa opintoseteliavustusta ja alennusta kurssimaksusta. Hakemuksen voi toimittaa työväenopiston toimistoon Ylistaronkatu 36 tai sähköpostilla tyovaenopisto@loimaa.fi.
Kurssimaksujen suuruuteen vaikuttavat opiskelijan saama opetustuntimäärä ja kurssin järjestämiseen liittyvät kulut. Yksilöopetuksessa hinnat ovat korkeampia kuin ryhmäopetuksessa.
Kurssimaksuperusteista päättää kaupungin sivistyslautakunta.
Edenred, ePassi, Smartum ja Tyky
Kursseja voi maksaa myös seuraavilla työnantajan tarjoamilla työhyvinvointi maksuvälineillä: Edenred ja ePassi (mobiilimaksu), Smartum (seteli- ja mobiilimaksu) ja Tyky (setelimaksu).
Maksutavasta tulee ilmoittaa jo ilmoittautumisen yhteydessä. Maksut pitää hoitaa kahden viikon kuluessa kurssin alkamisesta. Muussa tapauksessa kurssimaksu laskutetaan normaalisti eikä opiskelijalle lähetettyä laskua enää hyvitetä.
Opiskelija saa pyytäessään toimistosta todistuksen suorittamastaan kurssista. Se on maksuton. Pääsääntöisesti emme kirjoita todistuksia viittä vuotta vanhemmista kurssisuorituksista.
